As someone starting from basically square 1, what would be the best class/curriculum structured way to tackle the art/mediums I wish to improve in?
Traditional/digital drawing and traditional/digital painting for character design, portraits, landscapes, etc

My main goal is to be able to do comics, both traditionally and digitally. And as someone who is basically at square one, what would be the best structured "path" sotospeak to tackle all of these things?

Any advice when it comes to drawing smaller?

Say you're trying to draw smaller facial features, hands, etc. Trying to "contruct" them in 3d tends to be a bigger pain. Drawing out the cylinders/boxes for the fingers just tends to look like a jumbled mess, whereas if I draw them at a bigger size, it's no issue. Same goes for the facial features.

My intention is to draw comics, maybe a character or two per page of your standard 8 1/2 x 11 sketchbook size.

Anywho, in terms of drawing smaller and still looking realistic, any advice?

How do you go about drawing facial features on a smaller head? I'm drawing random shit in my sketchbook and drawing facial features/trying any sort of shading just makes it look like a mess, not realistic in any form.

And this is when the head is an inch-2 inches big at most. It just looks like a mess. Is there a trick to getting realistic looks with smaller drawings?

Drawing noses is hard enough, drawing one small is impossible seemingly.

How should I break down learning how to draw anatomy/people? I feel like becoming a medical expert in terms of anatomy isn't necessary since the only concern is surface anatomy.

When going to draw a "finalized" sketch/concept art of a character. How big should it be? I seemingly draw way too small to where I can't put in facial features correctly. The eyes always turn out like utter shit, etc.

Sketchbook wise, should one "finalized" figure be at least half the page? As of right now I'm just drawing with regular pencils, nothing special really.

Not my pic btw, just some random google image

I'd like to do concept art, but when I get to where I feel I can start shading, the face always goes to shit. How in the world do I stop this?

I'm not looking to do portrait level stuff. Just quicksketch to the point where I could model over the character in a 3D program. I try to shade the face like a 3D object but then it just looks like a mess.

Pic unrelated, not my art.
