Yeah it does. The entire process is one where you're stacking colors and textures on top of each other. They generally look flat until you get highlights and yellows and shit on there.

You do an overabundance of coverage on the dark tones first and then stack mid tones and highlights on top. the first few layers are loose and spastic and done in a wabi sabi meme that embraces creating problems that need to be addressed or worked around on the next layers. >>3677049 is an example.

What I've been getting into with the blue layer thing is that then when I go over with reds and yellows can schmere and scratch and hatch over and fuck with opacity stuff.
