Not really a guilty pleasure but I'll probably get memed on by /ic/ for saying I like Feng Zhu's vehicle drawings (I find his environments kind of cluttered) or Shuji Sogabe because it's animu, pic related is one of his drawings.

I feel guilty because it's manga but I really like Sogabe's stuff

Why not just learn from someone better like Soejima, Murata or Sogabe? Oda is good at churning out an entertaining story fast. His art is just a medium for that. Learn manga from someone more technically skilled. Oda's art is fun but it's not exceptional.

I like Sogabe's stuff. I like his colors and linework.

Hey man it's cool that you want to make manga but you gotta realize a couple things first.

Seriously. Every d/ic/k with a pencil wants to make their own comic but the vast, vaaaaast majority will only ever read stuff from Marvel.DC.Darkhorse or stuff from Japan. Expect very little readership for a long time and consider it getting popular just a bonus.

I like sharper facial features and construction as well as dull colours so I like Sogabe Shuji, Yusuke Murata and Akihiko Yoshida. Pic related is a piece I like from Sogabe Shuji,

Focus on improving yourself and compare yourself to other artists you look up to but if you spend more time complaining about being bad instead of practicing you'll just end up being an average /ic/ poster. Focus on improvement but have fun with it.
