how do you convincingly draw, like, the interaction of a face and hand or a hand grasping a wrist or just anything like that? always fucks me up unless it's a situation where there's a clear difference of value or color. when i look at a photo reference the answer seems to be 'the brain knows those are two distinct body parts and can tell them apart'. and i can't make that happen with drawings, ex i feel like this hand is melding into face Society-style.
