financial success usually comes from crippling your own work and suit it for a consumer demographic, IF you get the chance to monetize your work

Anything with tits, fanart or any kind of rendering/shading/etching is considered high standard on social media, so it is kind of a shit bar to use for anything.
You will have artist with actual skills getting left behind by your usual fotm anime fanart slop spammer and being way more successful than anyone that dares to draw something not average-consumercattle-friendly.

Maybe your question should be; What kind of art do i do so your average consumer will want to consume so they like&subscribe to me?

"Skill" on social media is a meme. If you reach high beg and you post content every day, that is based on already existing content the average animemanga consumer already knows, sheeple will flock to you.
If it's slightly lewd or has le kawaii uwu anime grills in it, it's a bonus and you'll need to put even less effort in it.

Draw, use your brain, develop a critical eye.
Don't compare yourself to others.
Never be satisfied with your own work.
Never not experiment.
You'll fail as a content creator (what every big artist on sns is), but at least you'll naturally get better if that's what your real goal is.
If you want to get rich and famous, just do the anime fotm trash everyone does and copy an already existing artists' rendering method.
