The only real disadvantage with a drawing bench is that it's awkward to stand back when you want to see your work from afar. Back before I made my easels, I worked from a shoe box with the lid propped open at 90 degree angle and leaned my smaller paintings against the lid with some support taped to the back.

People on /ic/ jerk themselves off over supplies or tools like it makes a difference, when the only thing that will ever matter is actually doing art.

Sometimes you just have to let the peasants be peasants, but I'm always here for a trad chad in need.

As a professional framer, it's safe to clean it with light soap and water. Use q-tips if you can. It's not going to do anything to it, but take the dirt off. You probably wont identify it, but that doesn't mean it's not a very nice painting you could flip or keep, depending on the size. (im assuming it's small based on stroke size) The value absolutely depends on where you live and whether it's a local scene or not.

It's hard to tell if there's varnish on it because it's not yellowed all the way through, but getting it professionally cleaned should run you at least a few hundo and by then it's hardly worth flipping to sell.

I like it, but something in the blocked in values reminds me of brian's paintings, so no thanks.

Quite nice draftsmanship, so I think so. The detail is fairly tasteful. I get where your waves are coming from, but competing with everything else, they just seem a little lazy. I'm sure you can handle rendering some surf in ink.
