this was like BAM and suddenly you understand why it is like this without even thinking about perspective centre, planes, narrowest bits and other formal stuff
what was abstract "ellipse" before is now circle of paper that is pierced in it's centre with invisible needle... one who controls needle controls direction of circle which forms "ellipse" on paper

and if I remember it correctly to place ellipse neatly on 2p box' wall you need to trace minor perspective axis a.k.a. normal of that ellipse towards VP that opposes that wall
