Actually, I think that the cheesecake Bridgman anon might have been copying some of the big Morpho book while doing Hampton’s course, and not the simple forms book. Hm. Maybe I’ll do a bit of both… maybe.

Truth. I think understanding construction and perspective is technically theory though. Then if you want to render, you need to understand some things about that. But yeah, you’re basically dead on about redrawing/reconstructing from memory.

I’m not sure art school is a good investment for anything ever. Regardless of wanting to get any particular job. Check out Ethan Becker’s stuff on breaking into the art industry. Also maybe Marc Brunet.
