I think AI can produce decent stuff if you're stuck on how to design something or if you want some ideas flowing. As it is now, however, it still not a replacement for real artists. Companies use AI because they're soulless and only care about spending less money, not artistic integrity.
Maybe at some point we'll see AI be a serious threat to draftsmen, but the day is yet to come, I feel.
