Take an introduction to mechanical drafting class. If you're still in highschool (don't admit it), sign up for shop class, one that has CO2 dragsters as part of the course work.

To freehand this, imagine a bounding box around the logo and guess at its proportion. Make divisions and plot points where the logo touches the box, and where important features are. Draw straight lines only to capture angles correctly, and round out corners later.
