I want to earn some pocket change through prints or t-shirt designs. Are there any guides how-into regarding those? Or are there some other good ways to earn money when it comes to drawing/design? I can draw digital portraits too but I am not sure if it's profitable

I want to become a portrait artist that does digital portraits for $$$ and I wonder how much money should I take for it? Also I have to prepare a nice portfolio for that, though it doesn't have to be much, just one black&white and one colored portrait is sufficient I guess. The idea is that I would get a picture or pictures from a client and then I have to make a good portrait from that, simple enough.

Is it viable? Does anyone else work like this here?
