>drew all my life with normal, generic artist pencils of higher quality, great work produced using it
>tried drawing with mechanical pencils a couple of times, was horrible and couldn't control the lines at all
>5 years later, suddenly all my sketches have become very stiff
>practice gesture but it still remains stiff
>get so desperate I try out mechanical pencils
>for some reason anything I draw with a mechanical turns out extremely fluid and beautiful

What the fuck happened? Has anyone else had a similar experience? What specific tools you switched to out of nowhere?
