thanks anon, i'm midway through one of the videos you linked and it's packed with helpful shit, I really like how he uses the CSI method and 5 sided shapes to assemble the full image. it'll help me a lot. also the way he explained how to do studies is great

however 'reading the krenz course in the pin' is shit, that course is really badly written and unintuitive. I wrote off the krenz guy because of that pin. whoever wrote that pin - fuck you. if not for this video i would have thought krenz is a meme

realize that you dont have to draw much detail in backgrounds. two things:
1. the further away a bg object is, the less detail it needs, sometimes just a splotch of green is enough to indicate a leaf etc.
2. anything that's not in main focus (around your character) can be blurred and undetailed and it works just fine.

there, now you dont need to draw a lot of background, just some basic stuff and a few details around your character. your work just got reduced by 90%. enjoy.
