My favorite for extreme lack of progression. I know there's some with actual progression that I like, let me go find them.

People aren't putting your shit down because it's abstract. They're putting it down because for some reason you seem to have completely lost the ability to make a good image. I actually find your excuse disrespectful to abstract artists- slapping a bunch of colors onto your canvas and maybe putting in a few squiggles to suggest shape is a mockery of abstract art. From Picasso to Pollock those who successfully worked with abstraction knew how to make a good image, how to convey a real mood or message in their work without relying on pure representation. The later works in your progression do not despite you clearly having some idea of how to do things in your early work. That is where the mental illness speculation comes from.

Or to put it simply: abstraction not shit, your work a shit.

More ontopic, here's my favorite dA lack of progression. I can't imagine putting this together and not committing sudoku immediately out of shame.
