Hello, Chunbum. I wrote half of the rules for /ic/. Early this year I rewrote rule #1 with Moot. It's imperative to keep the rules brief and allow common sense to reign. The rules should not be dense legalese. Nevertheless, it seems you could use some clarification.

1. /ic/ is a drawing board, and is listed as such in the main index. It is primarily for people working on drawing.
2. The board was originally, and for most of its life, intended ONLY FOR ARTWORK CRITIQUE. It was always called Artwork/Critique, because it was for the critique of artwork. This is an objective fact.
3. Early this year rule #1 was reworded for these reasons:
a. To make it clear that painting and sculpture are allowed in addition to drawing.
b. To make it clear that discussion of art techniques and artwork in general is now officially permitted. This means you could begin a thread about something like hatching or about an artist like Titian, etc..
This is the ONLY reason the rules were re-worded. When posting your own artwork, it is assumed that you will receive critique. This board is under no circumstances intended to be used as a gallery for your personal work. You may critique, post your own work for critique, discuss technique, or discuss other artists and the art world.

Again, common sense is the name of the game.
