They tell each other to draw progressively more progressive ideals of beauty precisely because they DON'T like each other's art in its current state. Nobody wants to buy art they don't like, especially if you can just demand the artist get closer to your spec free of charge, repeatedly, without end. The artists get pissy since though they get a lot of compliments for trying to please so hard, you can't eat compliments, and a fat cunt has gotta eat. So they suck another, bigger artist and their fans into the cycle, hoping someone with a wallet will finally get dragged into the mix. Just look at marvel now: so many bright, pandering ideas cancelled because fat cunts can just wait for the doubly-disabled sequel. No one ever learns. No one ever earns. Yes, all except the people outside the cycle.

Art's still an oversaturated market, but it'd be absolute fucking chaos if this mindset didn't exist and these people started grinding fundies.
One can only dream of the happy medium between fit art students and employment.
