I don't want to be a shadelet anymore, /ic/. I was too scared as a kid to shade in my drawings. This is the second time I've shaded a drawing in my life. How do I fix this? What are some of the key things that I am doing wrong? The outlines, the color value... It's all fucked.
For one, I think the way I am holding the pencil for shading might be wrong. I hold it almost horiontally and I have to test it out under my drawing before applying it so I have a bunch of little scribbles.
The room was fairly well lit. The only light source was from the top of the head out of the picture.
