This get me 2 hours of work done every day, and if I'm not in the mood I just draw one picture and don't think about it. I have to come up with a system to work around my mood swings and low motivation. I sketch in biro and I'm planning to make a 9 piece portfolio by the end of July

Try painting simple forms first to practice your value control.
Use only two values first, then three values. Don't try to blend.

Right now, you are just smearing random values onto a page until you get something close to an animal.
