quick paintover. 2 major things you should keep in mind. Soft, colored light sources all have a strong fall-off and the highlights are not desaturated. Desaturated, white highlights only happen when the light source is colorless or very strong and overexposed. Midday sunlight as the most common one for example. but when you have a colored, much weaker and softer light source, the highlights will be the color of the light and then it mixes with the local color of the objects.

Also be careful with adding too much contrast.
