Someone smarter than me probably has better input but I find myself fighting the brush tool to get it to do what I want so I like to do these greyscale paintings with a hard round brush with some blending to practice making the shapes and gradients that I want. that's what I consider brush control and how I practice it.

Also Im done with this, dont want to spend more time on it.
