You don't, it naturally develops as you learn how to draw. A certain pattern will form in your drawings as long as you're not going out of your way to stylize them in a certain way. I didn't purposefully develop a style, I'm just trying to learn how to draw to the best I can but my faces and lineart are recognizable as being drawn by me I think, at least anons here usually recognize it

And it's funny because I'm just reading a book right now and the mother of the guy told him exactly that; don't pursue a style.
The guy drawing the first Bugs Bunny wasn't a very good artist though and he went for full style and it was a success, but he explicitly burned out after some years.
Many animators are discussed on this segment of the book and the general idea is that yes, you need to learn how to draw things as they are, style develops in a subconscious way and the guy who was in charge of drawing "The Princes" from Disney movies could also do the more cartoony scenes to shut everyone up because even if it wasn't his job, by knowing how to draw he picked up on it.
