It finally occurred to me what I hate about these threads. It erroneously assumes that
>people draw for fame/money
>the integration of AI artist will be fast enough to effect the current generation
>how niche AI is
I myself don't know much about AI. Give or take 2/4 years when I get a masters and I can come back to these threads with more insight to how AI progressing: right now I'm looking at this issue in a more business/non-technical view.
For the first point: there's plenty of people that learn to draw for shits and giggles. Hell, in writing world there's plenty of novelists who have full time jobs. I myself like to make music and shitposts, and I'm an SWE. Even if AI tomorrow replaced all artists tomorrow, there's still be a bunch because it's fun to draw. There's people who still build bridges, are blacksmiths, etc because they enjoy the practice.
AI artists integration in the business world will take time. We are assuming that if a company is able to go to an AI program, tell it "I want X", and the AI is able to create what the client wants. I doubt we will see the needed niche tools for various industries come about, like "indieshit sprite generator" or "album cover generator" coming anytime soon to make an impact on business. Not only that, these services cost money: if the cost/time of developing an AI artwork is too much they'll just go to someone with A) a reputation and B) probably prior connection as a good fit for company.
I think there will be a time when this does come about (I might be the one doing it if my school allows me too and I decided audio programming sounds boring), but not now
Finally, as I alluded to, AI will be niche as hell for business tools. You can't have "general drawer" program that works for animation and games and paintings. Even shit like resolution can be a hassle to implement

I will touch on one more point: fuck off. Find a better hobby then spamming this demoralization shit.
