/ic/ seems to forget the golden rule of to the eyes of normies it doesn't matter how content is created as long as you make it for the consumer ergo no rules just tools. There is no "wrong" way of making visual art and as the saying goes you don't turn yourself into an artist it's the audience that does so.

You'll learn faster if you just study your fundies from time to time and draw in the style you want to draw in.

The skills you learn in fundies are universal, whether or not you stumble into them or actively learn them are your problem. Go read a book

Dunno, never bothered with Loomis. I just read Vilppu, Hampton, and Peter Han. Everything else I learned from youtube videos and social osmosis through /ic/

It's ugly, I don't like it, but I'm not a total asshole. I'd much rather spend my time and energy drawing than investing time in some literally who tumblr artist. Simple as that.
