One of my primary goals right now is to be capable of drawing the human body in pretty much any position without relying on reference. I know there are artists that have already succeeded in doing this, but how? I need to know what they did in order to achieve this. Ive been doing gesture drawing from pose maniacs every day for the past week, and while I think im seeing progress, I have doubts that im taking the correct road to this goal...
Any advice

He was a genuine illustrator, and was good at teaching how to be one.
