I used tutsplus guide (from other thread) but it's very basic and simplified and I can't recommend it to everyone. Use only if no one advises more serious tutorial (or if you too lazy for serious books). Working with software and layer modes from Houtengeki's videos (SAI layer modes translation is googleable).
