What do you want these people to do?
Beginners will flow in, pro's have no incentive to stay.
That's just the nature of this board. I guess one might argue that the concept of anonymous art critiquing place is inherently flawed.

The only way to 'fix' this is by maintaining a decent amount of pro's on /ic/.
But with the 'every single person that isn't Crab Mullins is shit and needs to work on their anatomy. Sakimichan/Kronprinz/Hans Appelstrudel/ a shit.' mentality that won't work out. Combined with the fact that everybody is suffering from Dunning-Kruger effect.
We've had really solid artists on here and they've all been driven away.
No decently skilled artist has any reason whatsoever to actually come here.
Why would they? To get shit on by a bunch of ungrateful dogs?

Sticky is pretty much responsible for leading me the way and without it I would have never gotten on the path of getting gud, but other than that /ic/ is borderline useless.
Find a cool resource here and there, discover a cool artist once in a while, and that's pretty much it.
Other than that it's mostly shitposting by bitter amateurs.
The whole anonymity thing does not work for art, if everyone was required to post their art I think this board would be a lot better.

The only reason I come here is because I want to be some what invested in art even when I don't draw, and like I said, the occasional resource.

Sticky puts a lot of pressure on learning perspective.

Is learning about perspective really that important when I just want to learn how to draw cute girls?
