well caricature is pretty easy. there's a sort of 'standard face' if you like. you pick the one or two things which are least compliant with that face on your subject and exaggerate them. the rest is getting features right enough. the right shaped jaw the right nose etc.

if instead of a caricature you want some sort of style like animu, you use a standard animu face instead of the usual one and you exaggerate a little less.

the standard face isn't like on paper usually, you have it in your brain. it's actually literally mapped out there. but here's that one you see around.
