No use getting discouraged. You're bet, get over it and get good. What >>4340050 said is the truth, it's going to take time and patience. Anime art takes three dimensions in mind but it implies those forms rather than directly stating them, especially the face. There's a lot of subtlety to it.
Right now you have no basic fundamental skills, you have no concept of dimensionality. You're still symbol drawing.
You have to train yourself to draw what you see first and foremost. If you can't do that you can't effectively learn construction drawing, because you'll still be trying to draw the forms of the figure as flat, awkward shapes. You won't comprehend why it isn't working and you'll continually get frustrated. So a book like Keys to Drawing is where you need to start, to teach you the basic skills that you need. Then move onto Loomis or whatever.

Same goes for you too, dude. Good grief. If it's taking you two hours to draw a simple construction form you need to take a step back. You don't have the prerequisite skills for this yet.

https://youtu.be/AtGGI6xiuUM this guy walks through a few pages of a manga analyzing and explaining the techniques the artist used. It's long but it's useful. The audio mixing sucks but try to bear with it.
