Sup beg, my PC scared me by hdd doing clicking sound so i panic bought new hdd and ssd. looks like i will finally upgrade my windows 7 (to 10 Enterprise IoT LTSC).

once the beg gains kick in and you realize your drawings start to resemble reality, thats when it gets fun. also it is super fun when you gain STRONG inspiration and make a real art. that happened to me only a few times, but i had massive fun and was smiling during whole time above the canvas

if you are looking for real beg book, go for keys to drawing. fun with pencil is... better to save it for later in your art journey

>is it normal to struggle a lot more when drawing from photo reference? Something about having an object in front of me makes it a lot easier
photo is flat, real life is seen by stereo vision (two eyes) which gives you extra information about depth. and if you see something confusing, you can just tilt your head a little to get different angle and understand. btw as beg you should expect everything to be hard by default until you do it enough times its easy
