hatching can end up looking really messy if you aren't careful. try making the lines evenly spaced and with the same thickness. it's good practice for pen control.

thanks! i blocked in the leg. doesn't look like tangents will be an issue there, but thanks for the heads up. and yeah, her heel is really rough. drawing feet (and hands) is torture.
