I used butterflies as the visual motif on his eyes and tongue just to demarcate that they're "special" and the focal point of his powers, but they don't have anything to do with butterflies per se. That might be something worth looking into! And the giant block I was thinking is like a sheathe for the knife (the inspiration came from when I was out knife-shopping and found a beautiful one in a beautiful rectangular sheathe (i like cooking)). I'm glad the chef thing is coming across strongly though!!

Thanks a lot! I'm working on revising and editing the script for chapter 1 while I wait to gain access to my main drawing space again haha. I hope people will like it when it's done!

This is some concept art of the other main character. I want the story to be about them becoming besties.

I'm currently working on a comic where one of the main characters is a loli. I'm not too comfortable with drawing this body type since I don't draw it often, so I'm currently trying to figure out proportions and a way to make it comfortable to draw.
