I'm not a child? When you die you die. I don't care about a bunch of made up caveman afterlife lore that was always just designed to keep people compliant.

And I mean sheeit I do believe that the existential afterlife is either creating people or things that manage to make it as long as possible after you die, but there's no reason other than desperate hope to assume that your soul/mind ever leaves your brain.

I also like the idea that as you die your brain goes into a "death mode" that changes your perception of time and creates an "afterlife" that may feel like forever in the time it takes for your brain to start rotting. That's why I probably wouldn't shoot myself in the head. That probably just turns the lights out. I want that slow brain death experience desu
