Well, specifically in relation to Menes's submission - the Tarot:

In the third arc of Hirohiko Araki's manga JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, many of the heroes (Joseph Joestar, his grandson Jotaro Kujo, and their travelling companions) have supernatural "stands" - otherworldly forces that that they can call upon - based on the Tarot. Joseph's stand is The Hermit, Avdol's is the Magician, Kakyoin's is the Hierophant, etc.

Their arch-nemesis is a vampire called Dio. Dio has plagued the Joestar family for many generations, and in some form or another is usually the antagonist (or the power behind a lesser antagonist) - in most of the story arcs, anyway.

Only those who control their own stands can actually *see* the supernatural activities of other stands. Ordinary people might only notice something is "off" - for example, when Avdol's Magician's Red uses a fire ability, stand users can see the Magician and see the flames, but normal people would just feel an incredible wave of heat. This ability to see the other stands - or evidence that they have been there or are doing something - gives rise to the expression "This must be the work of an enemy stand!"
