It's a series I've been building on for about 3 years now. Currently my plan is to finish the one-shot as practice/solidifying ideas and forcing myself to fill in the gaps I hadn't thought of yet (like, for example, finishing while working on my name I had a breakthrough on the magic system in the setting, which was something I was stuck flip-flopping on for a while) then, regardless of how the one-shot does in the competition, turn it into a proper series. I'm not expecting the one-shot to do well at all, it has problems, but I really need the practice. Plus, there's a pretty solid amount of eyeballs on this competition so I'm also hoping that I can ride that opportunity by submitting something that clearly has a lot of effort behind it to gather interest a bit.
Also, I should sort of mention, I changed a lot of things (mostly characters) for this one-shot to simplify things greatly, since the characters I plan on writing in the comic would not work at all in the one-shot format.

So, obviously my plans are: 1. make the one-shot 2. make a serial 3. be really successful 4. make more comics.
