Even though she uses medibang, I feel her tutorials can apply to almost any program. If anyone else if a Krita user, the wet_circle (hard edge) and wet_paint (soft edge) are the closest things to the watercolor brushes in japanese programs.

I suggest you go to brush settings and turn down the smudge length, pic related. I feel the default setting is too smudgy. Also for hard/soft brushes in general, I suggest you download this brush set. The default "hard round" brush in Krita is garbage. The ones in this brush set is like the default one in photoshop.
