When watching online classes, how do you approach it?

>watch every lesson and only stop to do assignments (less time consuming)

Or...

>watch lessons and try copying what the artist is doing while also listening (more time consuming, but better?)

Or...

>watch lesson, then watch it again but copying what he's doing (double time consuming, but ideal?)

I'm asking because I've been thinking if I'm approaching this whole learning thing wrong. After some time it seemed to me that I just wanted to get things done instead of really focusing on learning and taking it slow.

If you have a better approach I'm all ears too.

If you did a few 10 hour studies and then redid the pieces quickly with block ins after, this shouldn't take you more than half an hour after the flats. If even half an hour. You're basically still in block in stage with some blending to make it look sophisticated, but you haven't really rendered anything.

The reason it takes so long is because you don't know what you're doing. It takes you several hours to make a value statement that can be done in a few minutes because you just blend and blend without really understanding what it is you're trying to achieve. Some long studies, then immediately after a quick one, would help I bet. I know, I was there myself. It gets tremendously easier after just a few.

Or you can keep being defensive and not do the things that will actually improve you.
