>have a good year for art, reward myself with a moleskine
>an expensive book so i dont wanna "waste" it on gesture drawings, experimental sketches and other shit that might turn out "bad"
>eventually stop doing any of that shit altogether and draw things i know are easy for me to draw just so it'd look good in the book
>tfw paid 30 dollars to stagnate

i know better now and mostly moved onto cheap ringbound sketchbooks which i can freely burn through with 20+ pages of gesture drawing a day
