nevermind all you need to do is get the 6.2.0w5 driver and set it in compatibility with win 7 before installing and it just works

no lag, no jitter, pressure, tilt and a huge 9x12in area
the only issue so far is i'm used to how far i can hove my pen above the intuos pro without touching the surface so i'm used to just hover moving around

it seems to need to be fairly close, like less than a centimeter to the surface to recognize it

other than that it feels pretty much the same

unfortunately looks like it has the same "bubbling" on tapered strokes at the very ends where it doesn't taper nicely to thin but instead makes a blotch when you let go at the end of the stroke
my current intuos pro does the exact same though so i guess that's just how the driver always was

the surface also feels much rougher than intuos pro, it's no slidy at all, feels like a paper tooth
but that could be due to age? it's brand new but it is still over 20 years old
