Like I try to study bits and pieces of realism to learn fundamentals but I find it a lot less engaging and get bored within 20-40mins and just wanna draw retarded weeb shit even if it's bad.

Could you elaborate? I'm aware of construction from sticky/OP but what exactly do you mean by copying contours? Like just drawing lineart without understanding fundamental shape it's mean to be covering? Sorry for being dumb.
