I made a quick recreation. (sorry for the eyesore) Now, you really have to study emotion and grasp what actually feels like "anger" or "contempt". The fact of the matter is, even though you might consider a lot of what Im saying "style", comical expression still uses the general rules of human nature. Since yours is semi-realistic, it still applies. The chin does not change its angle for the sake of contempt. in fact, thats almost physically impossible. the back of your neck is brick like. your eyebrows are too above your eyes. You dont have many wrinkles despite this being a relatively old looking man. Or, it is, because your bone structure is more defined than your wrinkles. Again, even though its a style, you can't just ignore parts of the head or body. Define your lips, they take a big part in grimaces, smiles and such. Yours has no color, minimal shading, no shine, and just looks bland. Finally, your eyes are seriously bugging me. They're really big and its hard to tell what they show. The emotion range of surprise and anger all have smaller pupils surrounding the whites. In your case, it might not be surprise, more or less general "mr. pissed off". the pupils are still way too big, or at least in comparison to your eye whites. You also need to define his eyelids, it gives off much more of a point to show emotions. Theres light values everywhere and you cant use that to show emotion, either. Its very confusing, and its not composed well for comics in general. You neeeed to study expression. You can keep this style and still give off better emotion. This is all experience, and reference.
