No really I'm at a loss, what medium? Anime itself? Is OP complaining about generic anime being trendy in the anime industry? About manga becoming more popular? About Jap artfags drawing generic anime? Or western artfags trying to incorporate anime into their work? It's vague as fuck. Again, depending on where you look, anime isn't trendy at all.

I hate most of anime except some 80s cyberpunk/mecha ones but nobody draws in that style so it safe to say that i fucking hate anime
