I'm terrible at drawing animals, but in general I recommend watching Vilppu's videos on gesture and spherical form, and eventually all of the videos of that are in https://mega.nz/folder/RIx3TJxJ#_Nna8t01kPxENJ8KSzXqwg/folder/EUJHgKAZ . I feel like at the stage you're at you might be better off learning basic gesture and form. I was at the place you're at for years before I finally decided to learn the most basic fundamentals. Also, don't get so hung up on being 100% accurate to the ref/real life, at least not yet. Doing super realistic stuff is for people who are masters at drawing, not pleb /begs/ like you and me.
