I've used a pirated copy of Clip Studio EX for awhile now (version 1.6.2) and decided to buy it now that I saw it on sale. I've never used the EX exclusive features so I bought the PRO version. I also since previously had a newer trial version (1.7.1 because I wanted to try the then new features) installed. Should have known there could be a conflict.

When I installed 1.7.1 it loaded the brushes I had saved in my pirated copy at that time. When I downloaded and installed the latest version today it replaced 1.7.1 and took on the same materials. Problem is I want to have the brushes I have in my current pirated 1.6.2 version.

I tried replacing the "ClipStudioCommon" folder with my back up one and it loaded all my materials (brush tips paper textures etc.) but it did *not* load my actual brushes. What should I do?

Where can I get some good brushes? I'm after that painterly textured spatter effect, like what you can get in Photoshop by default

Is there something similar to Ctrl Paint but for Clip Paint Studio out there?
I thought I'd get started with Ctrl Paint but sadly it's using Photoshop. Any recommendations please?

My lightest pressure makes a mark that is too dark, while my darkest pressure is not dark enough. How do I fix this? Is it more to do with the program, or my tablet settings? I usually use the 'paint & apply' brush in Clip Studio (basically soft round), and I'm using a Surface Pro 4 (pls no bully)
