Don't get an intuos. Drawing while not being able to look at your work directly is a pain in the ass, and isn't worth the trouble. Shell out the extra to get a tablet with a screen, or don't bother getting one at all.
And it's not about "making you better at art," I don't know what the hell this guy's smoking. They're fucking tools. Sure they can give you more freedom to make art in different ways, but nothing can "make you a better artist" but you.

>>2177346 , still not understanding how the fuck a pencil and paper are inconvenient. Just get a sketchbook and put that in your lap if you're worried about having to look at a monitor. It's possibly the most convenient way to draw that's ever been invented, and will be much better for drawing practice since you can take it anywhere. Also cheap as fuck.
