Shiyoon Kim and most of the other Disney artists all have a very strong focus on calligraphic lines, line economy and strong shape design. If you like Kim's work, I'm sure you have checked out his tumblr and seen his tutorial stuff from BH6 and his Glen Keane lesson notes. They explain a lot of important concepts like the use of straight vs curves, having a simple and a complex side of a figure, how to push a gesture etc.

Read that stuff and then analyze his work with these concepts in mind. Also check out other Disney artists who use the same principles of stylization like Jin Kim, Cory Loftis, Normand Lemay, Glen Keane and if you wanna go really in depth, study the old animators who practically created these ideas, such as Milt Kahl, Marc Davis, Frank Thomas etc. Once you know what to look for, their drawings become like open books.

>it comes natural

Does it though? I think we should make a distinction here between your personal style and the actual theory behind good stylization and shape design.

Sure, given enough time, you will naturally develop certain preferences which can be attributed as "your style", but will you naturally develop an understanding of what is actually good stylization? I highly doubt that. There is a lot of theory behind appealing stylization that is not something you just naturally pick up but is rather something you have to actively study and try to understand.
