Okay, you've got the face drawn fine now, but I think your issues are with values. You've placed your shadows along Peter's face find, but then the shadows get darker on the far side of his head. Next you drawing, try going just lights and shadows. Keep it really simple. That's what my middle pic was aiming for. Simplicity is key here. Then after that you could add in a few more values, but always try to keep it simple.
