I tried to make a narrative like the other anon suggested.

My painting process is really slow. You guys have any tips? Like that other anon said, the procreate smudge brush isnt the best. My lighting feels off. Like i didnt get the distribution of values right. I used gray scale and gradient maps. Then i sectioned off the layers of color. But its taking me like 8 tries to get the color of anything right. If i wasn’t using gradient maps I’d have to repaint everything. Like the pond princess was gray fish colored, then she was green, then i made her flesh colored, then bright blue, and finally dark skinned. I would have lost all the details 6 times repainting it on a single layer. I dont understand how people are able to choose colors.
