I want to use my art to tell stories, but I never really feel like I have anything to say. I would love to be able to create fun work that makes people happy, but optimistic themes just come across as either incredibly trivial or incredibly sappy and naive, especially considering the state of the world today. I don't want to write depressing shit though, we've got plenty of that already.

has anyone else struggled with something like this?
