See, this is where anon's post veered into fiction. People seldom ask for a redline. Instead they ask for an immediate pyw - a type of bad-faith request, as anons have no intention of being honorable by the time they're asking for a pyw.
If you decline the pyw because you wish to remain anonymous on an anonymous website, then you're labeled a crab, even if your criticism is perfectly valid. It's a form of ad hom, a thought terminating cliche.
If you simply assume every non-workposting critic is just mad and bad and jealous, you needn't devote important cognitive resources to REASON whether he might actually be right about some things. "Crab," while a valid appellation in some cases, is just as often deployed so as to not have to think critically.
