btw, a surface 8 pro with slim pen2 is probably the best thing you could draw on for the money imo. super versatile, jack of all trades. i just often suggest an ipad pro w/pencil2 because you can find em used for maybe less than $300 including pencil2. the paints i like are like $130~ per set for an ok one, and i can go through em in a month or 2.
but imo nothing beats the feeling of traditional paints, although it's a bit harder to handle than a fun ' infinite erase' canvas on a tablet, and never having to learn how to mix paints on digital.

learn on anything, draw if you like to draw. trust only the real board sticky and your own judgement, have fun with /ic/ shitposts but never take anything serious ever, etc. etc.
